Oorang Bang
All events will be held at 350 N.High St.
(The site of the old Elgin School)
Oorang Bang is an exciting two-day street festival that offers an array of activities for attendees to enjoy. The event features a diverse selection of food trucks, craft vendors, live music, inflatables, and a beer garden that will be available on both days.
Oorang Bang Schedule of Events June 13th & 14th
Friday June 13th
- 3:00- Car show registration begins in front of the LaRue Methodist Church
- 4:00pm – Festival Opens
- 5:00pm – Blessing of the event at the flagpole (350 N High St)
- 5:30pm – Performance of the National Anthem
- 6:00-8:00pm – Balloon Artist in the Kidzone
- 7:00-11:00- Entertainment: Left of Center
Saturday June 14th
- 7:00am – Firefighters Association Pancake Breakfast @ the firehouse
- 8:00am – 5K – Late registration at School and High St
- 9:00am – 5K Walk/run Starts at School and High St
- 9:00am-12:00pm – Baked goods and other items for live auction drop off at 350 N High
- 11:00am – 12:00pm – Sensory hour on the inflatables
- 11:00am – Free yoga class with Lisa Howard – near shelter house @ Community Center, 350N High St.
- 12:00pm -Oorang History with Jim & Bev Anderson, Tyler Howell, Randy Winland and others in the shelter house – 350 N High St.
- 12:00pm – Cox’s Garden Tractor pulls start in front of the Methodist Church
- 12:00-11:00pm – Food trucks and all vendors open
- 12:30pm – Ron Spangler Magic (45 min show starts at 2:30 near the playground) 350 N High St.
- 1:00-4:00pm – Yayhoo Band plays on the stage – 350 N High St.
- 4:00pm – Parade (begins in front of Hatchery)
- 4:30pm – Chelsie to Cow Plop
- 6:00pm – Duck Race
- 6:30pm – Live Auction
- 7:00-11:00pm – Entertainment: Omega Kick
- 9:00pm – Silent Auction ends; winners announced.
- 9:00pm – Quilt winner announced
- 50/50 Winner announced on band’s last break
- Getaway winners will be announced when all tickets are sold
